Snack struggle
Welcome back one and all!
We are looking forward to welcoming families back tomorrow and have been busy making sure the setting is exciting and engaging. As you may already know we used to be provided with free fruit and bread products for our healthy snack by the local co-op. Sadly at the end of last term the shop pulled the plug on their support of our project.
We are now face with a weekly food bill of approximately £40 per week. As a charity who are already dealing with a big rent increase and the cost of cleaning now having to be outsourced this is an addition cost we will struggle to find. We are investigating possible links with other organisations but in the meantime could really do with your support.
If you could add any of the following to your weekly shop we would be really grateful while we source an ongoing solution.
Fruit
Apples
Bananas
Pears
Satsumas/clementines
Grapes
Blueberries
Strawberries
(Not kiwi fruit due to allergies)
Veg
Cucumbers
Carrots
Sugar snap peas
Bread products
Brown bread
Brown pitta bread
Crumpets
Muffins (not the cake sort)
Nothing with raisins or dried fruit in please
Thank you in advance for your help and support - hopefully we will have it sorted in a few weeks.
Kind regards,
Kirstine Chairperson
